Lincoln Agritech staff travel to China - Lincoln Agritech CEO, Peter Barrowclough, and Business Development Manager, Sophie Rebbeck, meet with Chinese Ministry of Land and Resources in Beijing.
A follow up visit to China was undertaken after a successful IRRICAD trip last November. The objective of this trip was to further understand the irrigation sector in China, the intricacies of doing business in the Chinese market, build on relationships made during the last visit, and to investigate possible channels for distributing Lincoln Agritech’s IRRICAD software.
Lincoln Agritech’s CEO, Peter Barrowclough, and newly appointed Business Development Manager, Sophie Rebbeck, visited China in May. They spent 12 days visiting Xi’an, Yangling, Beijing and Shanghai, where they met with representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Water Resources, Ministry of Land and Resources, China Agricultural University, Northwest Agricultural and Forestry University, as well as several private irrigation and design companies.
There was a very positive response to IRRICAD and how the software can potentially help China use water more efficiently, which is a high priority for the country. Further visits to China will be necessary to create and maintain the strong personal relationships essential for this market.
IRRICAD is the global leader in irrigation design software, with more than 1500 users. Established in New Zealand in 1988, today IRRICAD is distributed globally and sold in over 75 countries. Lincoln Agritech is currently developing a Chinese version of IRRICAD that will be ready for sale in China later this year.
